UAE VAT REGISTRATION

Assess the threshold. Prepare the evidence. Submit accurately.

Practical VAT registration preparation based on current Federal Tax Authority guidance, with filing and advisory scope agreed separately.

CURRENT THRESHOLDS

Mandatory and voluntary registration are different decisions.

The FTA currently states a mandatory threshold of AED 375,000 and a voluntary threshold of AED 187,500 for qualifying UAE-resident businesses, assessed under the applicable look-back or expectation tests. Different rules may apply to non-residents.

FTA information reviewed: 7 August 2026.
